Deen Trust International is committed to supporting underserved communities with limited access to essential healthcare services through our annual medical camps. These camps play a crucial role in offering cost-free diagnosis and treatment plans, thanks to the dedicated doctors we enlist from city hospitals in the Punjab area.
Our medical camps are conducted in conjunction with the Moin Akhtar Memorial Hospital, situated on its premises, and they focus on addressing three primary health concerns that afflict the impoverished region: Ophthalmology, Hepatitis, and Diabetes.
The Eye Camps serve as a vital resource for assessing and improving vision, as we provide prescription glasses to enhance visual acuity. Additionally, our Eye Camps offer testing for cataracts and provide fully funded cataract removal operations to those in urgent need. In 2022, our team at Deen Trust International facilitated the transportation of 62 patients to three local hospitals, where they received the necessary cataract surgeries.
These annual camps also serve as community-based testing centers for Hepatitis and Diabetes, where we offer free testing and medication for these prevalent health issues. Furthermore, our commitment extends to providing free treatment for individuals who lack the means to cover their medical expenses.
Vision
Licensed ophthalmologists and opticians offer communities free eye tests, medications and corrective treatments, as required. Endocrinologists and GP’s travel from the city to help diagnose and treat patients for free. To continue Deen Trust International’s aim to offer specialized and professional medical camps in areas most needed, ongoing support from donors is required to cover the costs of travel, setting up of the camps, medications, tests and treatments.
